Open Innovation

Open Innovation aims to encourage companies to share their knowledge and work closely with external partners (start-ups, scale-ups, etc.). Rather than only relying on its own internal skills, SNCB wishes to team up with start-ups (or universities) to access ideas and skills it could not develop alone.

In this perspective, Innovation Lab plans to set up a platform on which start-ups will be able to offer their solutions to an SNCB challenge. The aim is for the Innovation Lab to find the suitable solution(s) after several analyses and idea selection processes, and cooperate with the selected companies.
