Did you know that your employer is legally obliged to pay part or all of the cost of your 2nd class season ticket?
For public sector employees, the cost is fully covered. Are you employed in the private sector? Since1 June 2024, the statutory employer contribution for home-to-work season tickets has risen from 56% to 71.8%. After reimbursement by your employer, you will therefore only pay 28.2% of the price of your season ticket (Standard, Flex of Half Time in 2nd class).
Even better: if your employer has subscribed to a Mobility Pack, you can travel home to work by train completely free of charge.
