Travelling with luggage and pets
I'm travelling by rail and taking with me...
Travelling by train is easy, particularly if you can take your luggage and favourite four-legged friend with you. Dogs, a rucksack, folding bike, step, your cat... All are welcome on the train!
Travelling with pets
- Free for small pets in a basket, cage or crate no larger than 30x55x30cm
- Free for a guide dog or assistance dog
- € 3 for an animal kept on a lead with a Pet Supplement
- A muzzle for dogs is not compulsory, but is recommended. The train attendant may ask you to use one.
- Your pet may not use the seats or tables, and may not be a nuisance to other passengers.
Do you regularly travel by train with your pet on a lead?
- If you regularly travel the same route, you can buy a 10 same journey card for your pet.
- If you travel with a Local Multi, you are entitled to fill in a line for your pet.
Travelling with luggage
Free for :
- briefcases, rucksacks, suitcases, etc.
- wheelchairs (manual or electric)
- children's pushchairs
- folding bicycles (to be folded before boarding), unicycles, scooters, etc.
- portable musical instruments
- sports equipment (e.g. skis)
Tips :
- maximum 3 items per passenger (max. total weight 30 kg)
- place your luggage in the spaces provided above and below your seat
- if you are taking an (electric) bicycle, tandem, cart or segway on the train, you must purchase a Bike Supplement
