Sustainability
At SNCB, we want to fully assume our social responsibility as a public company at the service of all our passengers and future passengers.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) takes into account the impact of a company's decisions and activities on the environment and on society as a whole.
It implies transparent and ethical behaviour on the part of the company that contributes to sustainability in the broadest sense.
CSR policies are based on the '3 Ps' concept: People, Planet, Performance. This means that a company's economic performance is compatible with its social and environmental objectives.
Our CSR policy is inspired by the international and national agenda: the 17 "Sustainable Development Goals" defined by the United Nations, the European Union's "Green Deal" and our federal government's declaration. CSR is also integrated into our Public Service Contract.
In our brochure "SNCB, a key player in a sustainable society" (in french), you will discover what we do on a daily basis to make our mobility and our society more sustainable. You will also find a description of our 10-pillar CSR strategy.
