Locomotive Maintenance Services

With its experience of carrying out maintenance on its own rolling stock, SNCB also offers maintenance services for third-party stock, such as locomotives and their components. This covers a large range of different services, from simple, light maintenance such as a sand replenishment, to an entire overhaul of the locomotive. SNCB can also offer transformation work such as installing safety systems or completely repainting the locomotive.

For this purpose, SNCB has various sites boasting modern and high-performing facilities situated throughout Belgium — including some right at the heart of strategic railway junctions.
