Workshop activities
Schaerbeek traction workshop essentially carries out maintenance on electric multiple units, carriages and some diesel locomotives. The workshop is fitted with a modern under-floor lathe for reprofiling wheelsets. A new work hanger has been upgraded for maintenance and repairs on trailer carriages, and has been fitted with roof access platforms for working on carriages on two levels. This workshop also has inspection and multi-purpose cleaning platforms on which daily maintenance work is carried out.
It has 3 workshops, one of which is located at Forest, and 3 car washes for cleaning the outside of trains.
This workshop also specialises in train hoisting operations and has a 1000-tonne railway crane.
