  • it is possible to combine rail travel with the MIVB/STIB Brussels transport network with a Standard Season Ticket, Flex Season Ticket, Student Season Ticket or an Unlimited Season Ticket
  • the total charge for your season ticket is calculated by adding the STIB charge to the price of your SNCB season ticket

Buy your season ticket:

  • Online via My SNCB. Click 'Buy new subscription' and follow the steps up to the payment screen.
  • At the ticket counter at a station of choice

In both cases, you will need:

  • your electronic ID card
  • your personnalised MoBIB card (if you already have one)
  • your completed school certificate if you are 18+ and want to buy a Student Season Ticket

If you combine your Flex Abonnement ((only available in the app) with a STIB supplement, the STIB supplement will be loaded onto your personalised MoBIB card.

Don't have a MoBIB card yet? No problem! You'll get one online or at the counter for a processing fee of € 6 when buying your first season ticket  (or, if your employer pays for it, on presentation of your third-party payer certificate).

Do you have a personalised MoBIB card issued by another regional operator (TEC or De Lijn) and not registered with SNCB? To activate your Season Ticket and any regional supplements, you must first register your MOBIB card at the ticket office of a station of your choice. If you have a personalised STIB/MIVB MoBIB card (with your name and a photo of yourself on it), register it in our systems before buying your supplement online.

To activate your supplement, please scan your MoBIB card at an SNCB ticket machine after making a new online purchase or renewal.

  • The majority of your train pass and of your supplement is legally required to be reimbursed by the employer of the private sector. So you can take unlimited trains between home and office for an average of 28,20% of the cost of a 2nd class pass. If your employer enters into a third party payer agreement for commuting with SNCB, you only have to pay your own part at the time of purchase and no longer have to advance the full amount.
  • Free travel to work? For employees from the private sector, there is the possibility to combine a free train pass with a free STIB/MIVB supplement. This depends on what your employer offers. To travel to work free of charge, your employer needs to conclude a third-party payer agreement for commuting with SNCB.
  • If your employer has concluded a third-party payer agreement for the parking with SNCB, you can also park entirely free of charge in a parking at the station (subject to availability).
  • Contact your HR or mobility manager for the possibilities.
