Do you get to the station by car? You can combine your Flex Season Ticket with any parking product for the SNCB car park of your choice at the preferential rate for rail passengers.

If you want to take a Parking Supplement, simply go to the station ticket office of your choice with your MoBIB card (and with your parking certificate if your employer participates to the costs) and show  your active Flex Season Ticket. The Parking Supplement will be loaded onto your personalised MoBIB card registered with the SNCB so that you can enter and leave the car park at any time.

Buying and activating a Flex Season Ticket

Does your employer not have a Third-Party payment contract with SNCB? Then you will have to buy and pay the full price of your Flex Season Ticket yourself.

If you don't have a My SNCB account yet, create one for free via the SNCB app in the My SNCB section.

Then go to the app's Purchases sestion, and:

  1. Select ‘New Purchase
  2. Choose the ‘Flex / Multi’ tab
  3. Enter your departure and arrival station
  4. Select the Flex Season Ticket that suits you best (6, 10, 80 or 120) 
  5. Choose your travel class (1st or 2nd class)
  6. Add any supplements (STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn) that interest you (under the tab "Others")

And that's it! Once you've paid, you're done. You can now enjoy 6, 10, 80 or 120 days of travel on a defined route.

Don't forget: on the day you decide to travel, make sure you validate your day of travel before boarding your first train of the day. To do this, simply go to the 'Purchase' section and click on 'Validate a day of travel'. A QR code will be generated in the SNCB App.

Attention: in order to activate any supplements to your Flex Season Ticket, you must have a personalised MoBIB card linked to your My SNCB account.

Good to know: if the route of your season ticket corresponds to your home-work journeys, your employer is obliged to reimburse you for part or all of it. Please contact your employer to find out what reimbursement conditions apply in your company.

  • To obtain a Flex Season Ticket, you must apply to your employer as soon as the Flex Pass is available for your company or organisation..
  • Then you activate your Flex Season Ticket and any STIB/MIVB, De Lijn, TEC or Parking supplements on the SNCB app via your mobile device (smartphone or tablet).
  • Good to know: if you combine your Flex Season Ticket with a STIB/MIVB, De Lijn or TEC season ticket, your STIB/MIVB, De Lijn or TEC supplement will be loaded on your personalised MoBIB card.
    You don't have a MoBIB card yet? No problem: you can first buy one at our station counters for € 6 (or, if it is paid for by your employer, on presentation of your third-party payer certificate).
  • Do you have a personalised MoBIB Card issued by another public transport operator (STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn) which has not yet been registered with SNCB? To activate your Flex Season Ticket's supplements, you must first register your MoBIB Card at the ticket office of a station of your choice.
  • To take advantage of the parking supplement, go to a station's ticket office with your MoBIB card (and your third-party payment certificate if your employer participates to the cost) and show your active Season Ticket. Your parking pass will be linked to your MoBIB card.

Do you pay for your Flex Season Ticket yourself?

Once you have chosen your Flex Season Ticket in the SNCB App (under the tab "Flex / Multi" in the "Purchases" section), you can select any available supplements for STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn, under the tab "Others".

The amount of the chosen supplement(s) will be added to the price of your Flex Season Ticket and you will pay the total amount directly in the SNCB app using the payment method of your choice (Bancontact, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Belfius Direct Net, KBC Online or Paypal).

Does your employer pay for your Flex Season Ticket through a Third-party payment agreement?

Depending on the level of intervention chosen by your employer, these various supplements may be paid:

  • entirely by your employer
  • partly by your employer, partly by yourself
  • entirely by yourself

Please consult your employer to find out the level of intervention applied in your company.

If your employer participates (in full or in part), your employer's contribution will be included in the voucher code (or, if applicable, in the different voucher codes) that your employer will give you and that you will have to enter in the SNCB app to activate your Flex Season Ticket.

If part of your Flex Season Ticket or its supplements is not covered by your voucher(s), you will have to pay the remaining part when you buy your Flex Season Ticket in the SNCB app (with the payment method of your choice).

Personalised MoBIB card compulsory

Whether your Flex Season is paid for by yourself or by your employer, any STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn supplements will be loaded onto your personalised MoBIB card.

  • Don't have a MoBIB card yet? Don't worry: you can easily get one online with your My SNCB account (delivery time is 5 days) or from any SNCB ticket office for €6 (or, if your employer pays for it, on presentation of your third-party payer certificate).
  • Do you have a personalised MoBIB Card issued by another operator (STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn) and not registered with SNCB? To activate your Flex Season Ticket and any supplements, you must first register your MOBIB card at the ticket office of an SNCB station of your choice.

 

Do you get to the station by car? You can combine your Flex Season Ticket with a one-month season ticket for the SNCB car park of your choice at the preferential rate for rail passengers.

If you want to take a Parking ticket, simply go to the station ticket office of your choice with your personalised MoBIB card (and with your Third-party payment certificate if your employer contributes to the costs) and show your active Flex Season Ticket.

The Parking season ticket will be loaded onto your personalised MoBIB card registered with the SNCB so that you can enter and leave the car park at any time. If you don't have a personalised MoBIB card registered with the SNCB, you can order one online through your My SNCB account (delivery time is 5 days) or get one at the counter for € 6.

  • Log out and try to log in again. Then a new session will start and your data will be retrieved again. Normally, your Flex Abo should now be visible.
  • Perhaps you have a second account? Try logging in with that. Have you forgotten your password? Via "Forgot password" you can reset your password.

Do you pay for your Flex Season Ticket yourself?

When you have used up all your travel days or when the validity date has passed, you can no longer validate travel days.

To continue travelling with a Flex Season Ticket, you must purchase a new Flex Season Ticket (with our without the possible supplements for STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn..

Does your employer pay for your Flex Season Ticket through a Third-party payment agreement?

Once you have used your quota of travel days or if the validity date has passed, you can no longer validate travel days on your Flex Season Ticket.

If you want to continue travelling with a Flex Season Ticket:

  • If you still have an active voucher, you can activate a new Flex Season Ticket without any problems.
  • If you no longer have an active voucher, contact your employer who will give you the right to activate a new Flex Season Ticket and any supplements for STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn.

Do you pay for your Flex Season Ticket yourself?

Go to a station ticket counter with your personalised MoBIB card to renew your parking pass. You will be asked to present your active Flex Season Ticket. The parking pass will be linked to your MoBIB card.

Does your employer pay for your Flex Season Ticket through a Third-party payment agreement?

  • When your parking supplement is about to expire, you should first contact your employer who will give you the right to activate a new parking supplement.
  • Then go to the station counter with your MoBIB card to renew your parking supplement (and your employer's parking certificate, if applicable). You will be asked to show your active Flex Season Ticket. The parking supplement will be linked to your MoBIB card.

The Flex Season Ticket is recommended if you travel to your workplace on average 2 to 3 times a week on average.

If you travel more than 3 times a week on the same route, the Standard Abonnement is still more advantageous. If you travel less than twice a week, other products (like tickets or Multi) may be more appropriate than a season ticket.

Fares vary according to the distance of the chosen journey, the format of the Flex Season Ticket (6, 10, 80 or 120 days) and the travel class (1st or 2nd class)

Using your Flex Season Ticket

Depending on the chosen plan, you have a quota of :

  • 6 or 10 days of travel (in 1st or 2nd class), for 1-month Flex Season Tickets
  • 80 or 120 days of travel (in 1st or 2nd class) for 12-months Flex Season Tickets

During the period of validity of your Flex Season Ticket, you can freely choose the dates on which you wish to travel, within the limit of the number of travel days purchased.

In order to travel on the date of your choice, you need to validate one day of travel in the SNCB App before boarding your first train of the day. Via the app, you will receive your ticket, which contains a QR code and all the necessary elements for the on-board check.

After validating a day of travel on your Flex Season Ticket, you can make an unlimited number of return journeys on that date on the chosen route and in the chosen class (until the nightly interruption of the train service).

  • Once you have activated your Flex Season Ticket and its regional supplements in the SNCB app, your STIB/MIVB, De Lijn or TEC supplement(s) will be loaded onto your MoBIB card.
  • Are you travelling with De Lijn? Make sure you have your MoBIB card scanned by an SNCB train attendant or at an SNCB ticket machine to have your De Lijn Supplement loaded onto your MoBIB card!
  • Are you travelling with STIB/MIVB or TEC? If you want to use your supplement immediately, make sure it is loaded onto your MoBIB card by having it scanned by an SNCB train attendant or at an SNCB ticket machine. If not, your STIB/MIVB or TEC supplement will be loaded automatically the day after your activation.
The validity of your Flex Season Ticket starts on the date you choose when you activate your Flex Season Ticket. You can choose a start date up to 31 days in advance when you activate your Flex Season Ticket.
No, not if you return on the same day (or at least before the nightly interruption of the train service).

Because once you have validated a day of travel on your Flex Season Ticket, you can make an unlimited number of outbound and inbound journeys on that date on the route and in the class chosen.
Yes, it is possible to validate a day of travel up to 31 days in advance (within the validity period of your Flex Season Ticket, of course).

To make sur you don't forget to validate a  day of travel on the day that you are travelling, we recommend that you validate each day of travel in advance. And if your plans change, you can still cancel a day of travel after validation until the day before the trip.
Yes, because your Flex Season Ticket is not linked to your device but to your My SNCB account.

Whatever smartphone or tablet you use (provided the SNCB App is installed on it), you just need to log in to your My SNCB account.

Yes, it is still possible to cancel a travel day after validation in the app.

  • for a validation made before the travel date, it is possible to cancel it until the day before the travel day in question.
  • for a validation made on the day of travel (but before use), it is possible to cancel until 5 minutes after the validation of your travel day.

Once your quota of travel days has been used up or the validity date has passed, you can no longer validate further days of travel. To continue travelling with a Flex Season Ticket, you have to purchase a new Flex Season Ticket in the SNCB app.
