First buy your admission ticket directly from a partner or reseller to enjoy this discounted rate. Then buy a Discovery Ticket from SNCB with your unique discount code. You can buy your Discovery Ticket on the website, at ticket offices and from the ticketing machines in the stations.

No. A Discovery Ticket is a travel package for individual travellers. Would you like to travel by train with your group to the attraction at a reduced price? That is possible, with the Group Ticket! This formula for groups of 15 people or more offers a 60% discount on the standard price. A reservation must be made at least 10 days before the day of your trip.

Buy your Discovery Ticket easily via the website. You only need the SNCB code. You can find this code on the ticket for the attraction, in an e-mail from our partner or on request via our partner's website.
You can print the Discovery Ticket or save it as a PDF on your smartphone.
Some Discovery Tickets are also available from the ticket office or ticketing machine in the station.
The code consists of 16 characters and always starts with the number zero and the capital "i". Each code is unique and can only be used once.
1 code entitles you to 1 Discovery Ticket.

The Discovery Ticket is only available in second class. To travel in first class, it is possible to purchase a first-class supplement.

  2. The unique code has already been used.

Travelling with a Discovery Ticket

A Discovery Ticket is a return rail ticket to the attraction or event on your chosen date.

View the journey planner (on this page) to find out your rail travel times.

Important: from Monday to Friday, the outbound journey is possible from 9h00 am (no time restrictions on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays).

The Discovery Ticket discount only applies to your return rail travel on the same day. If your journey requires the use of a bus, tram or the metro, you will need to purchase an additional transport ticket.

No, if your departure station is Brussels Airport - Zaventem, the Brussels Airport Supplement is automatically added to the price of your Discovery Ticket.

After sales

A Discovery Ticket purchased via the website is always in your name. You can not pass it on or resell it.
A Discovery Ticket purchased online cannot be exchanged, cancelled or refunded.

A Discovery Ticket purchased in a station cannot be exchanged. Is the ticket completely unused? Then it can be refunded at the ticket office:
  • Until the day before the validity date of the ticket, if you buy the ticket in advance
  • Or on the day itself within 30 minutes after the purchase at the ticketing machine or the ticket office
Your ticket is not refundable:
  • If you purchased it online or via the SNCB app or exchanged it for a voucher, a credit note or a green cheque.
  • In case of theft or loss
  • If you had lost it for a moment and found it again during the journey.
