National Public Transport Discount Card
If you are permanently visually impaired by 90% or more, as recognised by Federal Public Service Social Security, the National Public Transport Discount Card is available to you free of charge.
- on presentation of this card, you can travel free of charge in 2nd class
- more comfort: to travel 1st class, you need to buy a valid travel ticket

The National Public Transport Discount Card is not issued by NMBS/SNCB. You can apply for the discount card to your Local Authority. You should receive a form that you will need to fill in. The completed form should be sent to:

Attention: the European Disability Card is not a valid transportation ticket. Passengers with reduced mobility and their carer can travel more advantageous and comfortably by train using a National Public Transport Discount Card, Free Carer Card and/or Priority to a Seat Card.
