Frequent questions about the Mobility Pack

The Mobilty Pack is a free and non-binding subscription that gives you access to a wide range of ready-to-use services. You only pay for the services you use, when you use them.

For you as an employer: 

  • 100% deductibility of invoiced services, provided that the journey made (at least partially) coincides with the commute between home and work.
  • No social security contributions or payroll tax on employer contributions if the employee opts for the statutory flat rate for professional expenses on their tax return.
  • Refund of 6% VAT (based on an invoice issued by SNCB).

For your employees: 

  • For those who opt for the statutory flat rate on their tax return: exemption from payroll tax, total tax exemption (including social security contributions), and the amount received is not taxable.
  • For those who opt for actual expenses: no exemption, it will be included in the calculation of the taxable base, and the employer is required to withhold a professional deduction from the amount paid.
If you have employees, you can subscribe to a Mobility Pack and take advantage of all its benefits for your employees. However, the Mobility Pack is not available for you as a self-employed individual.
No, the Mobility Pack is a flexible à la carte solution. It allows you to create a tailored mobility package for the employees of your choice, based on their needs and roles. You choose the most advantageous package for each individual. You control who has access to which services and you can modify these rights at any time with just a click in your Business Portal.

As a private sector employer, you are already required to contribute at least 71.8% towards your employees' commute subscriptions.
