The social partners have agreed to increase the minimum amount to be reimbursed by employers on the price of 2nd class train season tickets (cf. Collective Labour Agreement 19/11 of 08/04/24). If your employer has chosen to reimburse the legal minimum, your season ticket will cost you only 28.2% of its price (after reimbursement).
This new rule applies to Standard Season Tickets, to Flex Season Tickets and to Half-time Season Tickets in 2nd class.
Note that many employers offer even more favourable reimbursement conditions, or even free commuting. Ask your employer for details.

If your company applies the legal employer contribution system for your staff's season tickets, you should know that the social partners have agreed to increase the fixed contribution to 71.8% of the price of 2nd class season tickets (cf. Collective Labour Agreement 19/11 of 8 April 2024). This is a huge step forward and a major support from employers to encourage the use of public transport on home-to-work commuting.
This new rule applies to Standard Season Tickets, Flex Season Tickets and Half-time Season Tickets in 2nd class.
For your company, this new rule is a great opportunity to go even further by offering your employees free home-to-work travel. In practical terms, you currently reimburse an average of 71.8% of the price of 2nd class season tickets (the legal minimum). This means that your employees pay 28.2% of the fare themselves. If you decide to contribute 80% of the price (i.e. only 8.2% more) by opting for a Mobility Pack, the 20% normally payable by your employees will be paid by the government. In this way, you will be offering your staff free travel in 2nd class and you'll be making an even greater commitment to sustainable mobility.
